Studio in Bloom owner and head designer, Ken Delbeek, grew up in Europe and has always been a creator of beautiful things since she was a little girl. She pursued her artistic interests while working on a degree in Fashion and Graphic Design in Amsterdam, she then obtained an education degree as an art teacher. This eventually led to her sharing her love of art with students in the Amsterdam museum quarter.

In the fall of 2001, she moved to Hawaii where she eventually became a student at the DECO ClayCraft Academy in Honolulu. It was there that she learned the art of clay crafting under the tutelage of instructor and owner Yukiko Miyai, daughter of the founder Kazuko Miyai. She eventually became a certified instructor and worked closely with Yukiko Miyai giving classes, conducting workshops, organizing trade shows, consulting with brides and making finished products.

Now based in San Francisco, California, Ken brings this unique art form to you with her European design flair. The almost limitless potential made possible by these custom-made clay flowers allow her to create stunning clay flower works that will last you a lifetime. We hope that you enjoy viewing these samples of her work!
